This was horrible.... Tight Ends??? ILB OLB EDGE DE NT DT SS FS any type of scheme??
5'7 138 freshman was playing cb but idk if should switch
i’m not sure how fast or tough you are but based on size i’d say linebacker if you’re fast, lineman if you’re stronger than most, or if you’re really good at another position play that.
The 4th and 15 rule is pretty crazy. It seems like a much better chance than an on-side kick.
Grass ❤😊
I never play football before but next year is my high school year and I MIGHT play football so I really need to know how to tackle
As a brit.. i still think it’s stupid to call it football when the majority of the time the ball is in someone’s hand 😂
The great debate 😂 it has roots from both Futbol and rugby, that's how it originally stuck
Do the coms not get damaged?
Only if the coach spikes his headset 🤣
I guess I could Google it, but is there such a thing as a 4-2 or a 4-2-5 defense? I was just listening to a little podcast about my favorite college team, and the host mentioned that we saw more formations during the spring and said "4-3". I had to stop and think about it, and immediately stopped and searched. I think we primarily had 2 linebackers out there. But we also run what we call a "cheetah" position, which I believe is where we have a LB/DB hybrid type out there. Would that not be considered a 4-3, or would that be a 4-2? All these years of watching football, and I've never got very deep in the weeds when it comes to formation terminology.
Great question! It''s commonly known as the 4-2-5 defense rather than the 4-2. This is often a "nickel" package, but more teams are basing out of it because of the explosion of the spread offense.
PAUSE AT 1:34 😂😂😂
ThankU... i just sawdiz2day passin'da college and almost SlappedaTree wit'dawhip😅❤😅 Thanx4explaining!!!❤
What is the best way to play a sport like that without avoiding as brain damage as you possibly can? I know general exercise and movement is good which will translate to better performance on the field. But what sre some ways you can protect yourself on the field without worry about getting brain damage because. I know when you get your gear assigned to you and you put it on. You get the feeling this is gonna be good enough to protect myself and I believe sometimes some players get to complacent because they rely on that protecting themselves it would be great to hear you do a video maybe about techniques athletes can use to make there gear like armour so they can prevent injury I think that would make for for a good topic because I know when I started my first year in football which I never really thought of it. But i knew if I had an edge on my team mate of how I can out preform them in practice I would know I would het picked to be on the roster. I know many planyers get let down and never make it football because they started playing in highschool and they didnt have as much experience as some of their team mates that probably had more experience than them. It always seemed to me that the athletes that went the furthest already knew more about the game than people starting out. Its a good question but it might take some research. I think it is something worth looking into and can be vauleable to someone who wanted to make a career out of playing football who got started in their sophmore year. That is where I went wrong of course their was requirements gpa and such if it wasnt really a big deal I would of started sooner kike freshman year by the 10 grade I would have been able to read plays better and when I was on the practice field I would have been able to run the plays instead of figuring out what position did the coach put me in he kind of expected me to know what route to run and that was my problem I didnt know all the different positions you could play and know on what position what my job was or be able to understand reading plays in the locker room when the coach was going over them because well for me it was all new and alot to learn. I really liked football and I liked being apart of something that could make such a difference because everyone knew that team spirit and sports was and still is the heartbeat of the school. I know you can agree with that. I think that is the one thing that made highschool worth going to. And now adays you have kids being deprived of a decent highschool education because the biden administration is trying to indoctrinat the children in such perversions. If you just let children develope on their on and let grow up they will know the difference between right and wrong. I just dont think its right what congress has done to the education system they have ruined it. What Im trying to say is kids cant even have the same experience we did as kids growing up and its real sad. And another reason why I like sports so much is because it maintains traditional beliefs keeping the school in some kind of normalacy. I dont usually like to throw a wrench in things but Democrats really have things so screwed up at this rate its only going to get worse if we cant get a real commander and chief like donald trump back in the white house.
The crazy thing is I like watching this kind of stuff even though I learned the basics of football a long time ago there's just something about it that really fascinates me and I'm very very interested in the sport. I might be thinking about making a business opportunity out of it cuz I want to be able to help out local schools local athletes and maybe even help out those who are trying to continue their education into college gaining entry into the NFL. I grew up playing football on the street of my neighborhood and I played football as well as out of school as in highschool.
On the diagram It only shows 2 linebackers which are middle linebackers Even though there are also Right outside linebackers and left outside linebackers
Full back
Thanks coach you are going to help me win another championship this year.
Let's Get it! Good luck!🏈
So I’m joining the high school football team and I never knew how to play now I want to play because for some reason it clicked that I wanted to play do the coaches on the high school team like teach you how to play football so you know how to play or do they expect you to know how to play. This vid as good to
5'10 at 150 lbs, I am fast and shifty, hard to get tackled, with good skills in most positions. I can throw good with good iq, I have decent route running but great speed.
Cornerback on defense because of size and speed. Really anywhere you might be needed on offense.
@@Careless.Saint33 i am planning on a db position or going for qb, I just need confidence tbh for quarterback
Oklahoma dominated with the Wishbone as did Alabama in the 70's and 80's. Jimmy Johnson's Miami defense's was the only one that could stop the Sooners because Jimmy was a D-Line coach at OU a few years. Interesting how as college football went to the passing game in the nineties, Nebraska's power running game became more dominant. Their 95 team is the best I ever saw.
I miss the days when a good running game was valued. Can't watch today's short dinky passes every play with the occasional draw or sweep.
With Power, instead of what you described, I usually see the pulling guard block the playside linebacker. Do you see that a lot? The majority of the time? Is this difference depending on the level?
Yup! So the pulling guard will pull through and block the play side LB. Another variation is to have the guard kick out the defensive end and have the FB block the play side LB

im going into 8th grade, im 13, im 6'0", and im 150 lbs any suggestions for positions?
dawg u gon be tall
@@Twolvyy not the first time i heard that
Bro my friend has the same build I would say defensive end for your position
I would recommend Defensive End or Tight-End
Im in middle school 5'7 145 give or take and run a mid to high 5 second 40 any suggestions
Lb
How good are you at being tackled? How good are you at blocking or running through people? How good are you at tackling? Are you good at catching? But aside from that I would recommend Fullback or Halfback maybe even Tight-End.
2-4
Thank you so much for your video! I am new to officiating football and I have a lot of learning to do. The information you gave is going to be really helpful. Thank you for taking the time to make this video. It’s greatly appreciated!
Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad this video helped! Good luck this season!
I’m going into 8th grade. I’m 5’7” 156 and can run a 6 second forty. Do yall have any suggestions?
Linebacker, and work on getting faster
@@KingBrad2k ok thanks man
@@KingBrad2kI got a lot in the weight department but I’m only 5’4(8th) and I’m like average speed so idk what position any recommendations?
d line
I’m going into freshman year I’m 5’6 110 I can run 100m in 14 seconds what should I be
I don't think you should try to specialize in any position yet just continue lifting weights and getting faster and once you've developed a better base then see what your best attributes leans towards position-wise.
With ur height u should get in that weight room and get stronger and gain some weight
Pick Wide Receiver or Corner
Thanks, Went to see a Raiders game a couple of years ago, didn’t know the rules as I’m from UK heading back to Vegas to see them again in a preseason game and this will really enhance the experience!!
Glad it helped! Hope you enjoy the game!
IlIlllIIIlIllI guess how many l and I are in there
Football is soccer.
Walsh was a great coach but was more of an innovator than inventor. Belichick says Paul Brown laid the foundation for the WCO while in Cleveland, not Cincinnati. It is hard to believe that the most innovative coach (Brown), who was a control freak, would turn over the entire offense to a coach he didn't trust 100%. But like most changes in the NFL, rule modifications have to enable an idea that started at the college level (BYU and some other schools). The NFL doesn't invent anything now and hasn't changed that much since the OG inventors (Brown and Gillman). Spread is just a tweaked and dumbed down version of WCO.
Paul Brown nearly ruined the career of Bill Walsh because he thought he was not ready to be a NFL HEAD COACH.
One correction. Hal Mumme and Mike Leach created the offense while at Iowa Wesleyan, not Kentucky. Mumme was HC and Mike Leach was his OC. They set records there and the numbers caught the attention of many colleges and was eventually hired by U of Kentucky as HC.
I wear it for aesthetics

Thanks coach Danny! i showed my younger brother Bert Jr. this video, hes pumped to be a lineman!
this guy is cool, but where is coach Danny? I miss him.....
Louis Rees-Zammit brought me here 😅
Many thanks man! What program do you use in this vídeo for move this positions? Have a nice day!
Man I love football
Same!
Head up , shoulder lead, arms wrap around! Now you just have to teach the NFL this! They have turned tackling into assault with shoulder in NFL! They don't wrap and they are leaving ground to become a missile! This is dangerous!
Appreciate the videos bro 🤝🫂🚀
Thank you!
I have a question how do you play football
Did he ever mention TE
